Grammy winning duo Brothers Osborne delivered one hell of a country show with a little rock thrown into the mix, yes you read that right. It was a first for me covering brothers TJ & John Osborne I was excited to see how the night was going to go. Kicking off a great night for a concert weatherwise country musician Stephen Wilson Jr took the stage around 8:00. The crowd which filled most of the pavilion and parts of the hill were treated to one kick ass, mud stomping set. Let’s just get it out of the way now, Wilson is a great showman and owns the crowd from start to finish, and oh by the way one ass kicking guitar player. Wilson has worked with the likes of Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, to name a few, turning out some boot tapping tracks. The 45-minute set was quite entertaining and so worthy of checking out in a town near you.
Ah yes it was that time of the night you know the bathroom break, and a quick trip to the refill line. The brief intermission was over just like that with the crowd getting into place ready party for the next two hours or so. Hitting the stage around 9:20 Brothers John & TJ were also ready to join in on the party and that they did. Opening up the night with a very solid track the brothers let loose with “Might As Well Be Me.” what a great song to bring to any get together just grab yourself a partner and let loose. If you are a Big & Rich fan and love ” Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy” you are definitely falling in love with “Might As Well Be Me” both have the same beat and vibe what a kick ass way to open up a set. One thing about country performers they bring the soul and that’s what TJ delivered tonight with a side of passion.
Keeping on the one-two punch side of things the band lets you have it with “Nobody’s Nobody” no were talking. Fans were feeling the high levels of energy and masterful guitar shreds by John making you think you were at a rock concert. I was front and center for that guitar solo and a few others and it gave you goosebumps, well done sir. Let’s not leave out brother TJ who can also rip with the best of them along with having that deep southern country voice that captivates his audience. Loud cheers and boot tapping from the hill trickled down to the front row during “Shoot Me Straight” The track from the beginning sets the mood for you all you need to do is go along for the ride. Brothers Osborne are nearing the end of their 35-city tour don’t worry you still have time to check them out in a city near you. Thanks for stopping by and reading my first three song review along with viewing gallery which can be found below. Stay young America and keep rocking.
