Dirty Honey from Los Angeles who formed in 2017 currently consisting of singer Marc Labelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Corey Coverstone are touring in direct support with Skillet, and Altered Bridge are making a stop in Detroit on October 6th at the Fillmore. Touring in 2019 has been non-stop as they opened for Red Sun Rising on their Peel Tour and also opening for The Who at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan as part of The Who’s Moving On Tour, along with playing some major festival’s along the way. The band released their self-titled extended play on March 22, 2019. Their sounds are ass kicking good old rock and roll with a new twist, reminding me off a little Tesla and Rival Sons. Dirty Honey’s self-titled debut EP has been making waves on the strength of the hard-rocking lead single, “When I’m Gone.” which is a well balanced jam to say the least. The up-and-coming rockers having the crowd’s attention from the get-go are quickly gaining a huge following. The band self-titled debut EP, was recorded in Australia last Fall by producer Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine). These young rockers are loaded with true talent and look to top the rock and roll world in the near future, you can count on that. The song “Down the Road” boasts a big, bluesy heart sound which is incredible. So many well balanced tracks are to be heard, I’ll supply you with a link below.
