Multi-platinum, four-time Grammy nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls brought their summer headlining tour to the Michigan Lottery Amphitheater Sunday night and it was well worth the wait. The 29-date tour did not disappoint. Originally scheduled for August 9, 2020, and August 8, 2021, the summer tour 22 packed the house. John Rzeznik and the Goo Goo Dolls hit the stage at nine sharp and were promptly greeted to one hell of a roar from the packed crowd. Opening up their 23 song set was “Yeah, I like you” of the band’s upcoming album Chaos in Bloom out August 12th. The party was just beginning, with the second song of the night “Slide” from the bands sixth studio album “Dizzy up the girl” throwing it back for many in attendance. A trip down memory lane is always a good thing. Slide’ was followed up with a song from their album Gutterflower titled “Big Machine”. Alot of energy for the first three songs and the night was still young, the hill was definitely rocking!
You will want to check out the GGD in a city near you and join in on the party, a party you definitely want to attend again and again. Don’t miss out on this tour, you will be sorry! Below is my photo gallery from that night. Horns up America, keep rocking!
