Detroit, Mi. has waited sometime now and radio heads from all over can rejoice as the English rockers will be making a stop here in Detroit on July 22nd. A small tour in size and mainly a East Coast tour will begin in the windy city on July 7th and wrapping up in the city of brotherly love on August 1st. This will be the rockers 3rd time playing Michigan with the latest being 2012 at the now closed Palace of Auburn Hills. Prior to that was in 97 at the State Theatre, now called the Fillmore. The 16 city U.S. tour dates and Canada dates are in support of the band’s 2016 album “A Moon Shaped Pool” with a 3 night set in the famous Madison Square Garden. The last time Radiohead saw some road time was back in 2017, spring it was.
A Moon Shaped Pool is the band’s ninth studio album with a digital release date set for May 8th of 2016. At the 59th annual Grammy Awards it was nominated for best alternative album along with song best rock song “Burn the Witch.” Not only here in Detroit but all other cities on this tour are sure to sell-out. Radiohead‘s been waiting and the time is finally here. Below I have provided some links for tickets to other stops on the tour along with some video links and more.
