The female fronted Japanese metal band BABYMETAL formed in 2010 will be slaying The Fillmore in downtown Detroit next Thursday September 21st and their bringing the alternative Swedish metal band Avatar with them. BABYMETAL defines its style of new genre as “kawaii metal” is heading out on the road for a US national tour and this show is going to be incredible. If you haven’t seen BABYMETAL LIVE your missing out, they bring a phenomenal stage presence with high energy, and plenty of guitar shredding to be had. BM will be performing songs from their highly-anticipated new album “Metal Galaxy” due out on October 11th. This is a must see show and metal heads from across the state and even our neighbors to the north will be in for one hell of a night. The Swedish metal band Avatar is a nice compliment to this tour bringing a great stage presence themselves. The Metal Galaxy album continues the bands story, which you will have to find out for yourselves, it wouldn’t be any fun if I told you now would it. This will be the bands first new album since core member Yuimetal left the group last year to pursue a solo career. The song “Elevator Girl” off the Metal Galaxy album is about growing into maturity, into adult hood. This album totally kick ass! The tour is selling out across the US and kicks off September 13th in Philadelphia and wrapping up October 16th in Seattle before heading across the pond. You can also catch BABYMETAL at Aftershock in Sacramento, California on October 11th, 12th, and 13th. The band will be playing sharing the stage on Sunday night with the likes of TOOL, KORN, and Chevelle. Below are some links to guide you along.
