Fresh off their incredibly successful album release Better Days (produced by Travis Barker), their #1 Alt Rock single, “Better Days,” and the mega Maximum Fun Tour with A Day To Remember, Yellowcard have announced a massive North American outing this summer and are bringing some friends along – The Up Up Down Down Tour will include both New Found Glory and Plain White T’s. The tour visits Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m.
Yellowcard, who’s emotionally charged catalog – including the era-defining hit “Ocean Avenue” and their latest single “Better Days” off their album of the same name, has seen a new round of success this past fall while they continue to resonate with fans all over the world, including new ones. The tour marks an exciting union of three of the most beloved alt rock bands.
Ryan Key lead singer of Yellowcard says, “Every time we think this part of our career couldn’t possibly get any better, somehow it does. The Up Up Down Down Tour arrives summer 2026 and celebrates more than two decades of friendship with New Found Glory and Plain White T’s. We already know this will be one of the most special tours we’ve ever been a part of. Ocean Avenue, My Friends Over You, AND Hey There Delilah at the same show?!”
About Yellowcard
Formed in Jacksonville FL in 1997, Yellowcard became one of the most influential bands in the 2000’s alternative rock scene. Known for blending high energy pop punk with a signature violin twist, their 2003 breakthrough Ocean Avenue is certified Platinum with the title track now certified two times platinum. With over four million albums sold worldwide and over one billion streams, the band is poised for continued success on this new endeavor. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 entering into a new creative era and a year packed with a global tour to support it. Last week, Yellowcard celebrated the announcement of their new album Better Days (due out October 10 via Better Noise Music) by releasing the lead single and title track “Better Days“ along with album track “honestly i.” Better Days is the band’s first full feature length album in almost a decade, and the highly anticipated album is produced as well as executive produced by Travis Barker. Barker also plays drums on every song. The album is available for order here.
