Growing up a fan of music and lover of literature, Michigan’s Max Lockwood knew what he wanted to do, that was to give his fan’s deep emotion and a connection with his music. The Grand Rapids native will celebrate with a release show in Detroit at 20 Front Street on Thursday March, 7th about a 2 1/2 hour trip from the westside of the state that will be well worth the drive. Its been said that Max channels the flair of Tom Petty wait, Tom Petty you say. Yeah, I’m going to agree with them. Max released the self-titled sophomore album, Max Lockwood, which was released earlier this month. Michigan keeps turning out great musician’s and Max will certainly will be a name heard across the state. Max is also know for his poetry which he studied at right here in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the University of Michigan. A lot of his music comes from a personnel time in his life which we all go through one time or another. Max sure believes in the power of music to make the world a better place we share.
